LA 241 — Evidence (3 cr)
This course will examine the rules governing evidence and a paralegal's role in the preparation of evidence for trial. Topics include relevancy; authentication; the 'Best Evidence' doctrine; character and habit evidence; competency of witnesses; examination and impeachment of witnesses; opinion and expert testimony; privilege; the hearsay rule and its exceptions.
